BRISEIDE aims at delivering:

i-Tour client will support and suggest, in a user-friendly way, the use of different forms of transport (bus, car, railroad, tram, etc.) taking into account user preferences as well as real-time information on road conditions, weather, public transport network condition. To do so i-Tour promotes a new approach to data collection based on recommender system based on the information provided by the whole user community.

The project is bringing to the development of a networked infrastructure capable to make a wide range of geo information available to the operators of a major Italian motorway. In doing so, the system is supporting a number of open standards from ISO and OGC. Unlike current SDIs which address relatively static data in time slices, similarly to traditional GIS, the system developed allows to manage true dynamic data available, through geo-referenced sensors along the motorway.

The project was funded by NATO/OTAN within the “science for peace and security“ programme. The focus of the ARW was to focus on access, distribution and processing of Geographic Information (GI) which are basic preconditions to support the strategic environmental decision-making process. The heterogeneity of information on the environment today available is driving a wide number of initiatives, on both sides of the Atlantic, which advocate the strategic role of proper management and processing of environment-related data as well as the importance of harmonized IT infrastructures designed to better monitor and manage the environment.

The project involves 5 partners from Italy, Slovenia, Montenegro and Israel. The grant, funded by NATO-OTAN (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) within the Science for Peace and Security Programme, delivers a feasibility study to create a project to develop a system to detect environmental scale at urban scale. GraphiTech is engaged as NATO Partner Country director on issue related to environmental security and use of GeoVisual Analytics technologies.

The establishment of Natura 2000 and the new transboundary EU approach for protected sites management has enforced the link between nature conservation and geo-information. This has generated the need for interoperable and accessible EU harmonised datasets. The link is also addressed by the INSPIRE Directive which pursues an EU Spatial Data Infrastructure to support environmental policies.

Cultural production and entertainment centers are among the major industrial resources of free time, catalysts of interest, multipliers of business, as well as instruments for the re -qualification of the archaeological and monumental patrimony. The possibility to visit an archaeological landscape or site and at the same time experiencing its reconstruction interactively makes the all experience more engaging, culturally enriching and entertaining for visitors. In fact archaeological sites and ancient monuments are usually perceived by not specialists as fragmented, partial, and difficult to interpret and comprehend, and out of the contemporary age context.
Consultancy for the design of the Spatial Data Infrastructure of the Province of Trento
A client server infrastructure capable of accessing in real time 3D visualisation of GIS data compatible with OGC standards (WMS, WFS, WPS).

The project Graphitech has developed both a standalone application and a web-based 3D tool capable to ensure interactive access of high resolution data on several Alpine Glaciers within the territory of the Autonomous Province of Trento.

The project was commissioned by local authority for Parco Naturale Adamello Brenta (www.pnab.it) and it has delivered an interactive authoring system that is used by the experts at the park to manage their geospatial repositories, to define the graphical layout of their data and to expose them to the public through a 3D client developed as part of the project. Both clients (public and for authoring) and server component are compliant with emerging standards in the geospatial field (inc. OGC, ISO etc.).
Trento Ieri Oggi e Domani
Graphitech is currently involved in the development of a Virtual Reality system with the goal of promoting historic, artistic and cultural heritage in Trentino.
Analysis of Market information for Internationalisation of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises
The aim of AMI-SME is to gather, analyse and process essential information for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) that intend to enter or have recently ventured into an international market.

This project will be leaded by Fraunhofer IGD and several research centers and enterprises working in the field of virtual and augmented reality will be participating as well. The aim of this project is to improve lightweight near-to-the-eye displays and tiled stereoscopic large size displays.

The mission of AIM@SHAPE is to advance research in the direction of semantic-based shape representations and semantic-oriented tools to acquire, build, transmit, and process shapes with their associated knowledge. We foresee a generation of shapes in which knowledge is explicitly represented and, therefore, can be retrieved, processed, shared, and exploited to construct new knowledge.
Virtual Terrain Project porting to OpenSG

The project commissioned by department of urban planning of local Trento Province with the goal to provide interactive access and in 3D -via the internet- to the geographical data of the Provincial Urban Plan (PUP) of Trento – Italy. From the technical point of view the project has brought to the development of a client-server architecture where a number of geo-browser 3D access in real-time the geographical data streamed by a central server.
The aim of this project is to explore a collaborative prototype for the integration of GIS sensor data into a distributed architecture for Virtual Reality.
ProCon3D is a perfect candidate for real-life applications within consumer product’s industry. ProCon3D ideal use is for the definition of an interactive product layout system based on 3D models made with commercial application.

3D visualization of data for tourism for the tourism agency of the Altopiano di Pine' e Valle di Cembra in the Italian Alps
The goal was to allow outdoor assessment of territorial data on a large area scale in order to embed and superimpose virtual geo-referenced maps, objects and feature sets on the real landscape and estates
A project to promote the usability, exploitability and access to geo-referenced data
Graphitech is currently involved in the development of the interface of the electronic voting system to be used in the forthcoming local election in Trentino
This project aims at the development of a mobile conceptual design system based on Augmented Reality technology

ELIN will focus on personalisation of 'Live Newspapers' by development of interoperable solutions and a platform for flexible Newspaper on demand request.
OPAL (Online Partner Lens) makes accessible human capital in small firms. Matching this for inter-corporate cooperations significantly increases competitiveness by widening the companies' scope of possible commercial activity. OPAL forms a virtual partner network, but is at the same time a communication platform.
This project will demonstrate how the use of PDM systems, coupled with Semantic Web technologies, can improve inter-working activities and interdisciplinary knowledge sharing.
