GraphiTech has been established in order to conduct research and development activities in the broad technology area of advanced computer graphics and virtual reality. The aim of the joint venture was to enhance the competitiveness of Trentino's industries through the development and application of advanced computer graphics. The foundation contributes towards the transfer of knowledge between the research sector and the industry through the promotion of research on advanced graphic, information processing and visual communication, including virtual reality and virtual engineering. GraphiTech stimulates collaboration and friendship in the field of information technology, between the Trentino region, Italy and Germany and it performs world class research and development in advanced computer graphics technologies and services.

GraphiTech has built up competence and capacity thus making its technical possibilities available to commercial and private users in collaboration with industry.
Through the years GraphiTech has developed competence and capacity to allow it to join strong partnerships with national organizations and institutions from industry, business and science [link to partners]. Through the years GraphiTech has risen its profile through a number of national and international research projects and industrial commitments [link to projects].

GraphiTech organizes, promotes, finances activities that foster the implementation and industrialization of ideas, innovations and know-how arising both from private companies and public sector, including the university and other institutes working in the research field, with a particular interest to those belonging to the Trentino area. With regard to this GraphiTech commits to join projects financed by the UE, the Italian State and other organization, both public and private that aim to facilitate the know-how transfer to the enterprises.

Last but not least, GraphiTech is committed to the promotion, organization, financing and start-up of companies operating in the field of the scientific and technological development. Likewise it promotes the industrial use of the results acquired by the University and other institutes in the Trentino through the promotion of research and projects.
