Graphitech at 4th GEO European Projects Workshop 29-30 April 2010
Fondazione GraphiTech will be at the 4th GEO European Projects Workshop (29-30 April 2010) Athens,Greece. The main focus of this fourth Workshop is to finalise the content of the European input to the GEO VII Plenary and Ministerial Summit in Beijing in November 2010. A poster of the BRISEIDE project will be presented during the event.

Graphitech chairs the special session on “Access, quality, processing and applications of satellite imagery” at the 2nd International ICST Conference on Personal Satellite Services PSATS 2010, February 4 - 5, 2010, Starhotels Michelangelo, Rome, Italy.

The conference will explore such techniques, and aims to serve as a premier international forum for discussions, bringing together academic and industrial researchers, practitioners, and students interested in future techniques relating to the satellite communications, networking, technology, systems, and applications. The special session on “Access, quality, processing and applications of satellite imagery” will explore a number of relevant topics, with a particular attention to the most recent available data and related access policies, processing techniques and derived products, considering their impacts both for scientific, technical and non-expert communities.

The session welcomes also will also showcase best practices and case studies across a wide spectrum of application domain ranging from emergency management and response, to land use/cover analysis and planning, environmental control, to name but a few. In this respect, the session will aim to represent a meeting point for researchers from academia, industry and public organizations devoted to land management interested into present potentialities and future development of satellite imagery related techniques and applications.
