The Master Course is promoted in cooperation with UNISOM  (Consorzio Universitario per l’Ateneo della Sicilia Occidentale e del Bacino del Mediterraneo) the University Consortium for the Universities of Western Sicily and the Mediterranean.

The official launch of the event took place in Palermo on 13 July 2010 at Palazzo Steri.  The ceremony was attended by Roberto Lagalla, rector of the University of Palermo, by Mario Centorrino, Regional Councilor for Education and vocational training, by Marco Venturi, regional minister for productive activities, by Alessandro Albanese, President of Palermo branch of Confindustria, Francesco Paolo La Mantia, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Palermo, by Vincenzo Nigrelli, director of the Engineering Department at the University of Palermo, Antonio Valencia, head of scientific committee of UNISOM, by Antonio Mancuso, coordinator of the Master Course and by Raffaele De Amicis, director of GraphiTech.
